Victoria Turner Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist
About Me
I'm Victoria Turner,
A Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist.
Based in Surrey.
With over 20 years’ experience and having experienced burnout myself, I’m extremely passionate about my work in this field. My journey began over 25 years ago when I became unwell with an array of distressing and confusing physical symptoms including dizziness, nausea, heart palpitations, sight disturbances and exhaustion. I went to the Doctors feeling like I had the flu and what followed was a series of blood tests and hospital visits where nothing abnormal was noted. I was eventually diagnosed with ME/Chronic Fatigue by one medical expert and Depression by another which was very confusing. I then sought the help of a Psychotherapist who treated psychosomatic conditions and realised I was suffering from burnout. Luckily I was able to fully recover but this could have had a very different outcome had I not found the right support. This was why I decided to train as a therapist myself.
Over the past 20 years I have worked with clients in private practice, corporate environments and in a hospital psychiatric unit. I also have a background in Respiratory Psychophysiology as applied within the paradigm of Holistic Medical Psychotherapy which is the foundation of the successful Burnout Treatment programme I deliver. As a member of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists {NCIP} and of the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council {CNHC} as a Hypnotherapist, I am committed to ongoing continuous professional development.
